Caesar Frazier started playing piano at age five. After hearing the organ stylings of Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Shirley Scott, Jimmy McGriff and Booker T. Jones of the MG’S, he was forever attracted to the enormous sounds of the Hammond Organ. By age fifteen, Caesar began playing with a variety of R&B, Blues and Jazz bands. However, he was most attracted to the more complex and sophisticated stylings of Jazz. At present, Caesar Frazier is still enjoying the art of musical performance around the country and keeps close ties to his long time friend and mentor, Lou Donaldson.

Prior to this record, Frazier was known as a soul-jazz-funk Hammond organist, playing in Lou Donaldson's group and issuing organ albums on his own. It was thus somewhat of a surprise that this 1978 record was disco-laden soul, with Frazier spotlighted as a singer (and writer) rather than as an instrumentalist. Maybe it wasn't that surprising, actually; organ jazz, or even organ soul, wasn't in demand in the late 1970s, but since disco was, it made commercial sense that Frazier, who had the voice and material that were adaptable to the format, would give it a shot.
That doesn't mean it was worthy of getting reissued, however. It's boring, late-1970s soul - not exactly hardcore disco, but certainly utilizing disco-influenced beats and backing tracks. There's a slick, late-Philly soul feel, co-arranged by Frazier and David Van De Pette, who had arranged Marvin Gaye's What's Going On.
